Each Day
Morning Fundamentals 9:00am to Noon
Each morning session will start with warm-ups based on your age group followed by fundamentals based on age.
Afternoons
Group Sessions 1:00-3:00pm

Kayla Noelle and Jaron Deming
Jaron Deming is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. At the age of 9, he began taking piano lessons while attending Bob Jones Elementary School, and a year later began formal flute lessons with Amanda Barrett. In pursuit of a music education degree, Jaron enrolled at Anderson University in Anderson, SC under the instruction of Leah Wilson. While at Anderson University, Jaron became principal flute in all school ensembles, and went on to win principal flute in the SC Band Directors Association Intercollegiate Honor Band. Jaron also won the Anderson Symphony Orchestra Concerto and Aria Competition. After completing his degree, Jaron served for a season as principal flute of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, and solo piccolo of the Anderson University Wind Symphony.
Jaron later obtained a Masters of Music Performance from UNC School of the Arts under the instruction of Dr. Tadeu Coelho. Jaron served multiple times as principal flute of the UNCSA Symphony Orchestra, and was a finalist in the 2022 UNCSA concerto competition. Jaron is now actively pursuing opportunities in conducting, and plans to build his own music school that provides private lessons and a youth orchestra
Kayla Cieslak is a flutist and teacher from Macomb, Michigan. She started taking flute lessons with her mother, who is a professional flutist, when she was 10 years old. She quickly fell in love with the instrument and has shared her love of music with those around her.
Kayla received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Flute Performance from Eastern Michigan University and her Master of Music Degree in Flute Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. While studying at UNCSA, she was the Flute Studio Teaching Assistant to Dr. Tadeu Coelho and the Academic and Artistic Services Graduate Assistant.
During Kayla’s bachelor’s degree, she won both the William Stewart Concerto Competition and the Concerto/Aria Competition. She also won the Barry Manilow Scholarship Competition, which she has been recognized for on a national level through the Manilow Music Project. Kayla served as Principal Flute/Piccolo in both the EMU Wind Symphony and Orchestra for three years. During her master’s degree, she performed in the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Kayla has had the privilege to perform Principal Flute on UNCSA’s production of The Nutcracker in 2021 and 2022. Kayla was also a member of ArtistCorps, a community engagement program at UNCSA that serves the Winston-Salem community through the arts. Through this program, she taught Pre-k students phonics and middle school through high school flute students..
Today, Kayla lives in Greenville, South Carolina with her fiancé Jaron Deming. She teaches full-time in her own private flute studio called the Kayla Noelle Flute Studio and does gigs in the area.
Guest Artist Rudolf Ozolins -collaborative pianist
Rudolf Ozolins was born in Riga, Latvia. He studied at Em. Darzins Music School for gifted children, Jaz. Medins Riga Music College and the Latvian Music Academy. At the age of thirteen he had his orchestra debut with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Ozolins has lived in the US since 2001 and currently resides in Detroit.
Mr. Ozolins holds Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in piano performance from Indiana University South Bend and Michigan State University. His teachers include world renown pianists Mark Zeltser, Alexander Toradze, Misoo Sohn, George Vatchnadze, Juris Kalnciems, and Teofīls Biķis. He regularly performs with musicians from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra as well as international artists.
Since 2017 Rudolf has ventured into a business world. He is an active Real Estate Investor in the Detroit area. He also started an online branding and support company for professional musicians – MusicOnTheGo.org
Saxophonist/flutist Steve Wood has been performing in the Detroit area for more than four decades and is considered one of the region’s leading players and teachers. After studying with Marvin “Doc” Holladay at Oakland University and Marcus Belgrave in the Jazz Development Workshop, Steve began performing and recording with Detroit’s top jazz artists including Paul Keller, Johnny Trudell, and Ed Nuccilli. He has released two CDs of his own, Unanswerable Questions(Alembic Records) and Deep Woods(Corridor Records) and toured Europe twice with the Paul Keller Orchestra. In 1990 he won the Hennessy Cognac Jazz Search and in 1991 and 1992 was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship to study with George Coleman in New York City. He is currently teaching at Cranbrook Schools and Michigan State University Community Music School in Detroit.
